From 1238 an annual fair was held in the grounds and surrounding streets of St James Priory. It was regarded as the most important of the Bristol Fairs. Goods from all over Britain were showcased, accompanied by a variety of entertainments.
We are reviving this fair for the first time in over 100 years and invite you to participate by selling your goods, providing music, entertainment or representing your favourite charity.
Open Doors Day attracts many visitors to the Priory and our fair will complement this popular attraction.

St James House is an independent supported housing provision.
The service provides housing support for single people in recovery from addiction for up to 24 months.
Referrals will be accepted from individuals as well as agencies.

Sunday Mass
Mass is celebrated every Sunday at 8am.
There is no priest attached to St James Priory so a priest from St Mary on the Quay celebrates Mass every Sunday at 8am.
