Church and Café
Just as when it was founded almost 900 years ago, St James Priory is a place of Christian worship at the centre of the local community. All are welcome to visit our spectacular medieval church and enjoy the quality local food on offer in our Cafe.
The Priory is also a haven of peace and serenity in the heart of the busy City Centre.

Our residential support and treatment for people with a substance dependency is open to all in need, whatever their background or circumstance.

Volunteering
The Charity was founded on a voluntary basis and with the dedication and commitment of voluntary workers a strong foundation was built.
We are seeking Volunteers currently for cleaning, maintenance and general support.
Sunday Mass
Mass is celebrated every Sunday at 8am.
There is no priest attached to St James Priory so a priest from St Mary on the Quay celebrates Mass every Sunday and Holyday at 8am.
